The GA Crew gave us some great entertainment Friday night during their investigation at the Moon River Brewing Company in Georgia. Zak Bagans is, if nothing else, a fantastic slap-stick comedian…even if it’s accidental. His run-in with a cat in a tunnel was enough to make me nearly loose bladder control. But if that didn’t grab your attention for this episode, then let the “evidence” have a go at it.
Right away, I am left with a suspecting eye when listening to the eye-witness testimony of author Murray Silver during the pre-investigation tour. Something about his overly dramatic presentation of the hot spots just leaves me with questions. I don’t discount his experiences, but they do seem a bit embellished. Anyway….
The brewery was once a hotel and has many claims of paranormal activity:
- apparitions from everything to civil war soldiers to a lady in a white dress (here we go with the lady in white again!)
- construction crew members’ tools going missing
- people being pushed down the stairs
- physical attacks by a demonic dark figure
Well the activity didn’t take long to start. While the GA Crew was still reviewing all of their equipment placement they hear a thump and dragging sound from the second floor. Their response was that of a paranormal SWAT team as they ran up stairs. Zak ordered them to split up and cover stairs and doorways. As a writer, the words to describe that scenario are just not effective enough to convey the humor that I was able to extract from it.
Over the course of the evening, their evidence piled up and started to become questionable when they were using the word machine and infrared goggles. The camera on the device started to malfunction and there was a loud-and-clear EVP revealed by their audio later. This is perhaps the clearest EVP I’ve ever heard this team of paranormal investigators present, and also the most suspect. Are they going the way of TAPS with grandiose evidence? You judge:
They had numerous EVPs throughout their collected data of the night. None were quite like this however.
They also had a few moments where Nick Groff was acting out of character while in the room where the alleged demonic attacks took place. I’m just not sure what to think of this investigation right now. I need some time to review the episode and digest it. I would love to hear your thoughts, skeptical or not, what did you think?
Yea, I think these guys are full of crap, and this Zak guys is definitely a comedian, if anything. I watch it only due to the entertainment value of how a self proclaimed “cool” jock head can be the biggest geek and dork, somewhere between Funky Winkerbean and Napolean Dynamite. If they would just act like normal human beings then this should would have a chance of gaining some credibility. Instead, it seems to cater to slumber parties of 10 year old girls….just something you throw on so that they can have some spooky stories to scream and laugh at. Unbelievable that I have to work so hard to make a living and these clowns are out there thinking pulling the wool over on folks. Somehow they attract getting possessed and experience paranormal events through every show. Every speck of dust is an orb and every noise is 100% a ghost. I think they should start watching TAPS and take some notes on professionalism and credibility. Perhaps the steroids are getting to him? What a loser. Anyways….nice site.
I disagree; Its because they’re not all “professional” that make it entertaining. They’re 3 dorks that get spooked by everything, and over-dramatize as much as possible. it doesnt just appeal to teenagers; a load of people in my office watch it and laugh about it on mondays, and we’re in our 30’s.
Or you can watch ghost hunters, and hear an explanation for the word EVP 8 times a show, yeah we get it Egon. or how about this one “theres children involved so its top priority”.
I’ll get sick of GA eventually too, but its at least fresh and funny in the right context.
